Trường em trồng rất nhiều cây bóng mát như cây phượng, cây bàng, cây bằng lăng,… Nhưng có lẽ loài cây khiến em yêu thích và ấn tượng nhất là dãy tràm phía sau khuôn viên của trường.
Không biết dãy cây tràm này được trồng từ bao giờ, khi em vào lớp một thì đã thấy chúng rồi. Những cây tràm thẳng đuột, cao vút, mọc thành hàng thẳng tắp đứng hiên ngang trước gió trời, mặc nắng cháy hay bão giông. Thân tràm không quá to, bằng cánh tay em ôm lại, vỏ có màu nâu đen. Càng lên cao tràm chia ra nhiều nhánh nhỏ, nhánh nào lá cũng mọc um tùm, bởi vậy cả phía sân sau lúc nào cũng râm mát nhờ những chiếc ô khổng lồ của dãy tràm.
